    Pinnacle Foods will be implementing automated shelf ready packaging across multiple lines in multiple plants to meet changing customer requirements. This is a high priority, highly visible change for the organization. This position will lead the Shelf Ready Packaging (SRP) start-up for the internal manufacturing plants, act as the key liaison between the engineering/SRP cross-functional team, ensure operational readiness and start-up success, ensure assimilation of the SRP project into the plant operations, and coordinate all plant support function during trials, commissioning, start-up (quality, maintenance, sanitation, production labor needs, etc) and ongoing operation until the lines are operating at a steady state.



    • Safety and quality come first
    • Leads development and execution of the Overall Staffing Plan
    • Develops the Production Standards for production costs (crew, loss rates, target OEE efficiencies)
    • Becomes the Subject Matter Expert (SME)
    • The SME is recognized expert of SRP equipment operation
    • Assures new equipment will operate in Pinnacle plant environment.
    • Ensures existing equipment operates to spec (e.g. bag orientation to Dillon)
    • Leads development and execution of the Training Plan
    • Leads development of the Maintenance Transition Plan
    • Spare Parts, Assets/EAM, PM’s, Centerlines, Changeover guide
    • Leads development of the Materials Transition Plan (Obsoleting Materials, Obtaining New Materials)
    • Leads development and achievement of the Start-up Curve
    • Leads development of the Tracking Report
    • Leads SRP weekly project meetings
    • Engaged with Engineering activities; reviews line layouts, supports equipment design and development, liaison between Engineering and Operations
    • Supports Line Trials, FATs
    • Supports development of the Installation and Commissioning Plans
    • Leads the development and execution of the qualification plan
    • Ensures safety and quality/sanitation systems are updated to reflect project changes
    • Works closely with equipment vendor to debug and improve packaging equipment
    • Ensures smooth transition into ongoing plant operations  
    • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement to optimize operation and reduce costs

    • Ability to manage a complex budget and adhere to cost plans and annual plant and corporate SRP initiative
    • Strong analytical skills using tools such as statistics, labor tracking, inventory control, project planning
    • Creative/analytical problem solving skills and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems.
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills such as PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Ability to partner with other departments to resolve complex problems and work jointly to find solutions
    • Ensure training is completed to levels that drive operational efficiency
    • Demonstrated bias toward a high sense of urgency and speed to completion without cutting corners
    • Demonstrated ability to accomplish objectives with a laser focus on the right results.
    • Five (5+) years of experience in operations with track record of increasing responsibility
    • Experience with packaging equipment operations is preferred


    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing, required


    • There is a 25% travel requirement for this position
