    • Actively promote plant safety and environmental programs and procedures that are in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
    • Align maintenance department activities with the Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Metrics cascaded from the Corporate Leadership Team
    • Responsible for the implementation of reliability based maintenance elements in alignment with the corporate standards (Work Management, Asset Management, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and etc.).
    • Develops and/or maintains tracking and reporting processes for the maintenance function (supplier performance, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness, etc.).
    • Directly accountable to ensure plant-wide maintenance resources initiate/support continuous improvement efforts that increase the reliability of the core operations.
    • Acts as technical resource to plant leadership team on technical issues.
    • Mentor and develop maintenance staff
    • Manage department within current labor contract and standards
    • Assign job tasks for both supervisory and maintenance support staff
    • Apply disciplinary actions in accordance with plant policies and procedures
    • Review department activities and results, and drive Continuous Improvement activities as they relate to the plant and its processes
    • Develop and manage maintenance capital and controllable expense budget, including repair materials, utilities, and repair labor, as appropriate              
    • Complete special projects, duties and assignments, as appropriate
    • Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance supervisory experience required
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a manager with supervisors as direct reports preferred
    • Minimum of five (5) years maintenance or related experience required
    • Experience in facilities maintenance such as: HVAC, air compressors and electrical distribution preferred.
    • Experience facilitating continuous improvement processes in a fast paced manufacturing environment
    • Experience working with capital and controllable expense budgets is required
    • Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or equivalent preferred
    • Experience working with a diverse group of people
    • The following skills are required: Strong interpersonal, leadership, verbal/written communication, problem solving, project management, report writing, presentation and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate and follow-up.
    • Solid analytical skills using tools such as statistics, downtime tracking, mechanical history, project planning, etc. to identify opportunity areas
    • Ability to use innovative approaches to resolve complex problems
    • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Word
    • Ability to quickly come up to speed on complex production processes
    • Ability to analyze data and information, and to make effective and timely decisions
    • Ability to work with others to identify opportunities
    • Ability to communicate at multiple levels both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency
    • Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
    • Proficient with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and report writing is required. Experience with Infor EAM CMMS is preferred.
    • Ability to source and effectively manage third-party contractors working on behalf of the Maintenance Department
    • Good understanding of reliability based maintenance and project management




    • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Business/Management, Engineering or Technical field is required.
    • Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP), (Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) or other similar accreditations are preferred.
    • Masters of Business Administrations (MBA) is preferred.
