    This position is responsible for managing the five byproduct waste streams produced by the Waseca processing facility: pea waste, sweet corn silage, silage liquid waste, waste screening, and primary plant discharge.  Responsibilities include marketing, logistics, silage storage, supervision, and winter byproduct removal. Candidate must support safety programs, cost reductions, efficiency improvements, and quality enhancement strategies in a continuous improvement environment.




    • Marketing
      • Contracts with agricultural customers to ensure byproducts are sold
    • Logistics
      • Manages subcontracted on-site trucks to haul to Pinnacle bunker (3 total)
      • Manages subcontracted trucks hauling to customers (approximately 10)
      • Develops delivery schedule based on customer needs
      • Manages loading equipment lease
    • Storage
      • Maintains Pinnacle byproduct storage bunker to keep waste separated
      • Properly contains runoff water from bunker
    • Supervision
      • Directly supervises Logistic Coordinators and Equipment Operators
    • Winter Byproduct Removal
    • Byproduct site inspections, approvals, and documentation (approximately 120 sites annually)
    • Manage silage liquid waste disposal, licensing, permitting, inspections
    • Provide data for environmental compliance reporting
    • Complete cost summaries, invoice customers for silage received, collect payments
    • Enter data into Pinnacle Foods Ag software program to create an official permanent record for government agencies, county and township regulations
    • Perform duties as assigned deemed necessary for efficient operation of Birds Eye Foods facility




    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Creative in problem solving and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems
    • Microsoft office skills such as PowerPoint, Project Manager, Excel and Word
    • Ability to quickly learn about our complex production processes and work with others to identify opportunities
    • Managing against budgets and forecasting
    • Ability to multitask and work within a teamEDUCATION:
    •  Bachelors degree in Agricultural Field, particularly Animal Nutrition or Agribusiness, preferred



    • Two (2) years minimum of agricultural experience


    • Ability to identify potential improvements

    • Able to effectively interface within all levels of the organization
    • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
