The Refrigeration Planner/Scheduler is responsible for scheduling, planning, directing, and coordinating budget activities concerned with the plant operation. Participate in the conceptual development of the facility and oversee its organization, scheduling and implementation. Ensure full compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements. Works with Plant Manager, Human Resource Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Plant Superintendent, Maintenance Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and the other Production Supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to plan, schedule and direct activities concerned with the Ammonia refrigeration, boilers, water treatment etc. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and specifications. Confer with Supervisors to discuss work procedures, complaints and operational problems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and control project’s through administrative direction to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures. Represent company in meetings and attend strategy meetings. Work with Maintenance Manager to schedule financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to management. Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.
EDUCATION: Associates or Bachelor degree and/or equivalent work experience and/or engineering preferred.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two to three years in a food processing environment. Processing and packaging experiences is a plus. Ability to work in a large team environment. Position requires good communication and technical skills and attention to detail.
SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Has the ability to work in a flexible schedule. Be able to work in cold conditions. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
