    This position will lead the Warehousing Operation for the Waseca Plant to optimize and improve the warehousing efficiency.  The warehouse manager will develop long term strategic plan for a lean warehouse environment that improves efficiency across the local campus and distribution network.



    • Demonstrated ability to engage the workforce to improve safety, quality and delivery initiatives.
    • Develop and execute plant warehousing strategies in accordance with the Lean Pinnacle Way
    • Manages all warehouse resources to achieve and maintain warehouse financial and productivity budgets and goals
    • Facilitates kaizen events, 6 S efforts, and liaises with other department leaders in the plant
    • Implements cost savings improvement projects
    • Identify and execute cost savings and service improvement opportunities across the campus and distribution network.
    • Drive savings year over year to offset inflation costs, in addition to cost savings targets.
    • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems and Labor Management systems to drive efficiency and productivity at the plant warehouse.
    • Identify automation opportunities within the plant to drive savings and sustainability
    • Benchmark costs and productivity metrics across Pinnacle plants and 3rd party warehouses.
    • Utilize best practices across the warehouse network and actively seek opportunities to improve service to our customers.
    • Complete special projects, duties and assignments as appropriate
    • Meet established inventory accuracy goals
    • Be a resource for internal and external teams to share knowledge and lessons learned

    Be a resource for the production planning to insure warehouse constraints are minimized



    • Leads with an infectiously positive approach
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organization
    • Be a resource or insure resources are available for 24/7/365 coverage when required
    • Take ownership and have a demonstrated ability to lead all areas of warehousing in a fast-paced, seasonal food production plant
    • Demonstrated ability to complete cost savings projects identifying both issues and solutions
    •   Ability to manage a complex budget and adhere to cost plans and annual plant and corporate initiatives
    • Strong analytical skills using tools such as statistics, labor tracking, inventory control, project planning to identify opportunity areas
    • Be creative in problem solving with innovative approaches to resolve complex problems within the distribution network
    • Creative/analytical problem solving skills and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems.
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills such as PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
    • Ability to quickly come up to speed on complex logistics processes and work with others to identify opportunities areas considering network in entirety.
    • Strong ability to develop subordinates for advancement opportunities
    • Ability to partner with other departments to resolve complex problems and work jointly to find solutions
    • Understanding of Continuous Improvement processes and the demonstrated ability to advance the organization through these efforts.
    • Ensure training is completed to levels that drive operational efficiency
    • Demonstrated bias toward a high sense of urgency and speed to completion without cutting corners
    • Demonstrated ability to accomplish objectives with a laser focus on the right results.
    • 5+ years of experience in logistics with track record of increasing responsibility



    • Bachelor of Science in Business Logistics or Supply Chain Management with a concentration in Materials Management, Logistics, Industrial Distribution Management, or equivalent, preferred.
    • Master in Business Administration, or equivalent, preferred.
    • APICS Certification, preferred.



    • 10 – 15% travel required
