    SCOPE OF POSITION:
    The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for driving and executing internal communications strategies across all platforms. This role will collaborate closely with HR, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver engaging written and visual communications that support the Company’s goals, objectives and values for a variety of internal audiences.  May support external communications as needed.

     

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Support key internal communication platforms to ensure the flow of Company information to stakeholders:
    • Pinnacle Pantry (Intranet)
      • Accountable for ensuring the site is up to date to be a key resource for employees to access company information.
      • Engage with employees and senior leaders across functions and sites to solicit content for publishing.
      • Write and post content for intranet.
    • Town halls
      • Support the execution of quarterly town halls, including presentation support, A/V oversight and Q&A management.
    • Local TVs & posters across sites:
      • Liaise with designated Communication Champions at each of our locations ensuring they receive local postings to display.
      • Prepare PowerPoint slides to display company information on TV screens in all sites.

    2. Lead the planning and execution of key annual programs:

    • Annual volunteerism program Pinnacle ACTS (Action Changes Things)
    • Annual Company Award Program - Winning Moments

    3. Provide communication support for HR functions and programs:

    • Benefits:
      • Monthly benefits flyers for employees
      • Oversee quarterly newsletter development
      • Support annual open enrollment communications
    • Talent Development
      • Draft communications to support core Performance and Talent Management processes (OGSMs, Mid-Year, Talent Review, Year-End)
    • Talent Acquisition
      • Support the key employer branded sites by ensuring content is kept current (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Careers Site)
      • New Hire & Organization Announcements

    4. Support internal communication for key Company initiatives.

    Qualifications

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

     

    Must have:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience working in communications field.
    • Strong attention to detail, including grammar, spelling, formatting of messages, etc.
    • Experience successfully managing projects 
    • Ability to hold others accountable to meet deadlines.
    • Exercise sound judgment regarding content selection.
    • Self-starter
    • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, highly matrixed and dynamic environment.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Work & PowerPoint)

     

    Preferred:

    • Experience working in Corporate environment.
    • Experience using publishing software/content management systems.
    • Experience using Photoshop or other image and video editing software. 
    • Experience with Corporate Health & Welfare Communications.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Journalism or similar.
