    This position is for 2nd Shift.


    Pinnacle Foods is seeking a Technical Specialist for 2nd shift at its St. Elmo, Illinois plant. The successful candidate must be a self starter and willing to work in a team environment.  As a Technical Specialist you will be responsible for development and implementation of maintenance systems associated with High Performing Manufacturing Organizations (Preventative/Predictive Maintenance, TPM, etc).

    Responsibilities include:

    • Provides direct support for the electrical training initiatives for operating technicians/teams.
    • Accountable for providing long term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem, analysis, equipment failures, etc.
    • Takes ownership for their own personal growth and professional development by soliciting feedback, getting involved in department/plant initiatives and projects, and developing a career plan.



    Qualified candidates will have the following:

    • Advanced technical skills in the electrical field (e.g. PLC’s, Controls, Instrumentation, High Voltage Systems, etc) and is able to lead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge and ability to utilize programming software including Rockwell RSLinx, RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Panel Builder 32, RSView, GE Cimplicity for Fanuc PLC, etc.
    • Familiarity & ability to maintain various PLC units including AB Micrologix, PLC 5, PLC 500, Compact Logix, Control Logix and GE Fanuc PLC units.
    • Ability to identify problems, assembles needed resources, and drives a solution to completion.
    • Able to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issues.
    • Associates degree which demonstrates technical skills, job knowledge, and personal characteristics listed in position description.
    • 18 to 24 months process/project engineering experience or the equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
