    This position is responsible for improving service for customers while minimizing cost. Partnering with Sales and Supply Chain functions, the Director of Customer Logistics will own developing and leading the strategy around interfacing with key customers with our retail partners. Activities include network optimization, performance metrics benchmarking and customer score-carding (internal and external), and activity based opportunity analysis.



    • Partner with our customers to find ways to optimize our overall landed cost of delivery (i.e., DPS, hub & spoke, backhaul, CPU, fines/fees, etc.)
    • Responsible for achieving Service and Cost performance. Actively monitor Pinnacle supply chain performance overall as well as for our top customers. Utilize both internal and customer generated scorecards to find and implement improvement opportunities
    • Work with customers and internal business partners to optimize our order-to-delivery cycle times.
    • Actively benchmark our performance vs. peers to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement
    • Establish key expert-to-expert relationships at our strategic customers that provide opportunities for us to be seen as a partner of choice
    • This role will be responsible for understanding all aspects of customer relationships as they pertain to the Supply Chain. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ordering patterns, optimizing shipments, order sourcing, customers deductions, reclamation program and customer fines and fees.
    • Representation for the Supply Chain for Customer Master Supply Agreements
    • This role will manage and lead the Customer Logistics Team that manages all of our top customers



    • Minimum five (5) years of senior leadership experience with Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Transportation
    • Eight (8) or more years of experience working in Supply Chain or Logistics
    • Prefer experience in CPG environment working directly with key retailers
    • Experience with freight and critical delivery situations a plus
    • Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Proven ability to lead, influence and motivate others
    • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving, including Root-Cause Analysis experience
    • Strong Project Management capabilities
    • Flexible and adaptable to fast changing environment


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain, required
    • Master’s Degree in relevant field of study, preferred
