    SCOPE OF POSITIONThis position is responsible for helping to ensure accurate and timely revenue and contra revenue reporting on a monthly basis.  Must be flexible working with various functional groups, yet adhere to corporate guidelines and governance.  Will often work independently while also maintaining a team centered orientation. 

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Maintain the administration of the Broker Commission system to provide accurate and timely payments and reports to the brokered sales force.
    2. Liaison with the Internal Audit and External Audit teams related to the general audit and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
    3. Actively participate in testing and development of financial reporting and revenue management systems.
    4. Prepare and post standard month-end closing journals including, but not limited to broker commission accrual, trade adjustments and accruals, etc.
    5. Reconciling balance sheet accounts and select account reconciliations for SOX compliance
    6. Month-end closing process support and selected analysis for management review
    7. Build strategic partnerships with cross functional teams to support daily and month end best practices
    8. Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Technical accounting proficiency demonstrated by relevant previous experience.
    • Software proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills required.
    • Well organized with a willingness to learn and the ability to adhere to tight timelines.
    • Ability to work with and build cross-functional team relationships
    • Ability to work independently, adapt, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast paced environment

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum two to four years of accounting experience
    • Consumer Product experience is a plus
    • “Big 4” accounting firm experience is a plus
    • CPA or working toward CPA is a plus

     

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
