    The Director of Professional Services Procurement will primarily have responsibility for the Strategic Sourcing of the Sales & Marketing spend category for the company.  Specific sub-categories include Agency, Media, Direct Marketing, Shopper Marketing, and Market Research, among others.  In addition, this role will also have responsibility for the Consulting, Finance, Legal, and R&D spend categories for the company.  Partnering closely with key business area leaders, this role will set an overall sourcing strategy and ensure successful and efficient execution of that strategy.  He/she will ensure proper supplier selection, drive competitive bidding whenever possible and practical, and negotiate goods and services for the lowest total cost, highest quality and superior performance.  He/she will be a strategic thinker, and an individual capable of managing complex tasks independently while working with and supporting many stakeholders.


    In addition to the day-to-day Strategic Sourcing duties above, the Director of Professional Services Procurement will also serve as a key leader on the Indirect Procurement team, closely supporting the Senior Director of Indirect Procurement in the strategy setting and operations of the overall Indirect Procurement team.



    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

    • Develop close working relationships with stakeholders (i.e., Sales & Marketing, Finance, Legal, R&D, etc.) to become a trusted partner in the sourcing of goods and services.
    • Develop and execute an effective strategic sourcing plan which enables efficient sourcing and contracting in a fast-paced environment.
    • Understand the marketplace for suppliers of professional services; determine the appropriate strategy to partner with the best suppliers to support Pinnacle’s business.
    • Work cross-functionally to ensure effective communication of requirements, efficient execution of sourcing projects, and compliance to our procurement policy.
    • Develop benchmarking and cost modeling to support the drive to best-in-class pricing.
    • Manage effective communication of requirements, and compliance to our procurement policy with all stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement a Supplier Relationship Management program to transform our relationships with key suppliers and drive continuous improvement and innovation
    • Manage strategic sourcing events, negotiate supply agreements and contracts.
    • Work closely with business area Finance teams to successfully document and articulate savings and other value-added benefits to the business.
    • Continually improve our internal processes in working with internal stakeholders, Legal, and suppliers.



    • The successful candidate will have experience and expertise in sourcing a wide selection of Indirect spend categories, with specific experience in the sourcing of Professional Services and Marketing categories (Agency, Media, etc.).
    • Hands-on Marketing experience is a plus.
    • Must be experienced in strategic sourcing and have a proven background of successful strategy implementation.
    • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Proven ability to influence stakeholders to comply with appropriate Procurement practices.
    • 5 to 7 years of strategic Procurement experience in the food or other related consumer products industry.
    • Strong relationship management and people skills.
    • Strong customer service orientation.
    • Able to effectively interface with all levels and departments within the organization.



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, or other related business field is required, Master’s Degree is preferred.




    • This role may have direct reports.



    • As needed; expected less than 25%.
