    Under the direction of the VP of Marketing Activation – Director, Graphic Design will manage all functions in support of corporate brands packaging and graphics development, initial design through print production. The position oversees a department of 3 employees and multiple external agency, vendors and partners.




    • Includes the following but not limited to; other duties may be assigned. .
    • Responsible for leading the design and execution for all Parsippany brands (with line of sight and leadership position for high valued strategic Boulder Brands projects)
    • Packaging projects include redesigns, new item launches, line extensions and updates/maintenance
    • Role is critical to achieving brilliant brand/portfolio design and execution 
    • Requires strong team leadership, cross-functional management, voice at the table, project management combined with design mastery, technical skills and culture building to drive design intent, project execution (large work load) and continues improvement for quality and execution
    • Role is focused on package design but Director will help evolve function to play a critical role in design centric approach for all consumer communications and will require navigating and influencing internal functions and external (design agencies).
    • Player / Coach approach (lead a department but also own projects): Lead package design projects from creative brief through final production artwork, ensuring accurate communication of all elements such as die lines and required label copy.
    • Responsible of all end-to-end design process across entire portfolio (including the full review, recommendation of strategic approach to design and implementation for function) 
    • Assess design projects and work with internal marketing teams and external design agencies to clearly communicate and ensure quality packing is delivered in timely manner and within budget guidelines.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams on Brand Strategy.
    • Present design concepts to marketing and executive leadership and gain approvals.
    • Manage and maintain corporate brand packaging budgets, meet with Finance teams on a regular basis, and report monthly figures to upper management.
    • Responsible for photography direction, color standards, press approvals and quality management throughout design process. 
    • Works directly with separators and print vendors to ensure accuracy and timelines, packaging proofs, and printed samples.





    Minimum 8 years professional experience within packaging/design/consumer products industry.
    Experience and in-depth knowledge of color management, pre-press and print production.
    Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Mac/PC platform), proficient in Microsoft Office.
    Detail oriented, project management focused, organized, reliable and a resourceful professional.



    BA degree, Graphic Design preferred






    Approximate 10-20% of annual travel, project dependent.
