    SCOPE OF POSITION

    This is an entry level position requiring little to no experience. The primary function of this position is to assist R&D, and learn company PD standards and processes.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist Research and Development team new product development efforts including procuring ingredients, organizing and cleaning kitchen/lab work areas and planning for new recipe development sessions.
    • Assist team with heating validation studies and product cooking instructions.
    • Assist team with sample procurement, shipping, and receiving.
    • Demonstrate precise, expedient, organized, and efficient work.
    • Support internal culinary and R&D activities including recipe prototyping, recipe optimization, planning and presentation of new product prototypes to multidisciplinary team.
    • Manage ingredient inventory and maintain supply par levels.
    • Maintain kitchen/lab equipment and regular preventative maintenance.

     

    Qualifications

     

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Proven ability to multitask in a high performance, cross functional, and team based company culture.
    • Proven ability to assist in development of culinary protocept and commercial prototype recipes with an understanding of frozen, bakery, and/or plant-based food production capabilities.
    • Strong computer skills and ability to pick up new techniques and software quickly.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to organize, record, and maintain details.
    • Strong knowledge of food safety principles.

    Education

    • AS or BS in Culinary Arts and or Food Science or related field from accredited institution or equivalent background and experience.
