    An Associate Food Scientist to perform food product development work to meet established project objectives in the Frozen Innovation team.  This position will report into the Sr. Manager R&D, Frozen.



    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned

    • Conduct food product formulation and lab testing using recognized procedures
    • Interprets results and develops an understanding of how to translate to possible solutions
    • Conduct trials at pilot plant and production facilities
    • Writes technical reports and maintains accurate and complete technical records
    • Learns and utilizes the online specification and project commercialization systems
    • Works in collaboration with cross functional team members
    • Generates potential innovation ideas for the brand through enabling manufacturing or ingredient technologies and creative thinking.




    • 1-3 years of Food Product Development experience
    • Strong technical/analytical skills
    • Ability to interact with others in manufacturing, lab, and office environment
    • Good time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
    • Computer skills that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Familiarity in areas regarding ingredient functionality, ambient, and frozen food formulation
    • Ability to identify, learn, and apply the scalability of bench top to full scale manufacturing processes
    • Demonstrated creative problem solving skills
    • Ability to communicate technical information to a cross-functional audience
    • Ability to learn and operate lab and pilot equipment
    • Ability to manage an entire project or portions of a project end-to-end

    • B.S. Food Science or equivalent



    • Travel 25-40%
