Project Planners are the glue that help keep projects — and people — on track. As the BBU Design Team leads design efforts for all 5 brands in the business unit—Udi’s Gluten Free, Gardein, Evol, Earth Balance, and Glutino—the primary focus of the Design Team Project Planner is to plan, organize, and track design deliverables and associated activities that contribute to the success of products.
Representing the Design Team through the entire commercialization process, the Project Planner attends core team meetings and works in coordination with Designers, Brand Managers, PMO, Legal, Regulatory, R&D, and external vendors to collect project information — deadlines, objectives, budgets, and lead times.
The project planner actively monitors the design budget, facilitates contracts, solicits estimates/quotes, and shepherds invoicing for our network of contract resources. We are looking for someone who is adept at identifying potential roadblocks related to budgets, resources and timelines, and reporting these potential issues and proposing solutions as necessary.
The ideal candidate thrives on working closely with creative people and the network of creative people typically involved in the CPG design process (designers, copywriters, photographers, illustrators, agencies, etc.), and has had exposure to print production, understanding the complexity and demands of bringing packaged food to market.
