ABOUT BOULDER BRANDS:
Boulder Brands is the health and wellness business unit of Pinnacle Foods. Located in downtown Boulder, Colorado, Boulder Brands is committed to providing superior tasting, solution-driven products. The company’s health and wellness platform consists of brands that target specific consumer needs: the Gardein brand delivers frozen plant based protein for consumers looking for a healthy meat protein alternative; the Glutino® and Udi’s Gluten Free® brands for gluten-free diets; the Earth Balance® brand for plant-based diets; and EVOL foods for consumers seeking simple and pure ingredients.

At Pinnacle Foods we are at the top of our game and the key to our success is clear. Everything we do is driven by our purpose: unleashing brand potential, dynamically evolving and improving our already beloved products to bring more convenience, taste, nutrition, and joy to today's consumers.

The results? Our well-recognized products are found in 85% of American households and are leaders in their respective categories, holding the #1 or #2 market share position in 10 of the 14 categories in which we compete — and we're just getting started. We are committed to adding value through strategic growth that synergizes our portfolio of "Leadership" and "Foundation" brands and plays to our strengths in R&D, consumer insights, and senior management experience.

Responsibilities

Project Planners are the glue that help keep projects — and people — on track. As the BBU Design Team leads design efforts for all 5 brands in the business unit—Udi’s Gluten Free, Gardein, Evol, Earth Balance, and Glutino—the primary focus of the Design Team Project Planner is to plan, organize, and track design deliverables and associated activities that contribute to the success of products.

Representing the Design Team through the entire commercialization process, the Project Planner attends core team meetings and works in coordination with Designers, Brand Managers, PMO, Legal, Regulatory, R&D, and external vendors to collect project information — deadlines, objectives, budgets, and lead times.

The project planner actively monitors the design budget, facilitates contracts, solicits estimates/quotes, and shepherds invoicing for our network of contract resources.  We are looking for someone who is  adept at identifying potential roadblocks related to budgets, resources and timelines, and reporting these potential issues and proposing solutions as necessary.

The ideal candidate thrives on working closely with creative people and the network of creative people typically involved in the CPG design process (designers, copywriters, photographers, illustrators, agencies, etc.), and has had exposure to print production, understanding the complexity and demands of bringing packaged food to market.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Attend all active commercialization meetings—Manage detailed design schedules throughout the duration of the project and collaborate and communicate with the cross-functional team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintain job files and workload records, routing projects for approval, tracking and monitoring progress to ensure deadlines are met
  • Provide risk analysis — identifying potential roadblocks related to budgets, resources and timelines, and reporting these potential issues and proposing solutions as necessary.
  • Shepherd invoicing and facilitate paperwork for our network of contract resources
  • Maintain accuracy of Master SKU List with current plate costs, active printers, supplier, and print specs
  • Facilitate artwork routing via our cloud-based system, Proof HQ, supporting projects as needed
  • Support yearly budget planning and monitor usage
  • Provide technical input of current systems utilized by design team and recommendations for efficiency improvements
