  1. Must be familiar with plant safety rules and guidelines.
  2. Must have a positive attitude, work well with a team, and have initiative in improving company operations.
  3. Work with Area Manager to implement new ideas to improve areas within the department.
  4. Work effectively with other departments.
  5. Coordinate with corporate and facility production managers to develop and maintain present and extended production schedules.
  6. Assist production staff to improve efficiencies by effective scheduling.
  7. Purchase necessary ingredients and materials to allow production to run according to schedule.
  8. Attend conference calls and coordinate facility meetings as necessary to communicate the production needs.
  9. Identify, summarize, and communicate component supply issues to management.
  10. Coordinate with corporate/suppliers to process ingredient and supply concerns by means of a supplier corrective action report (SCAR).
  11. Write and maintain shop orders used in production.
  12. Write and maintain purchase orders for parts and supplies, including receipts, and reconciliation.
  13. Coordinate cost reductions in all aspects of the position.
  14. Assist with quality system standard operational procedures.
  15. Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Area Manager.






  1. Written and verbal communication skills that are effective with all levels of personnel; corporate, facility management, production associates, and suppliers.
  2. Competence in PC software; planning (i.e. AS400), Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  3. Must be organized and able to multi-task
  4. Self-motivated and flexible.


  1. Minimum of 3 years industry experience in planning; scheduling, inventory, distribution, procurement, etc.
