Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Deliver external perspective encompassing economic trends, underlying market dynamics and global industry supply and demand for crop and animal-based ingredients and packaging
  • Codify market and industry trends, performance and insights and infer business implications leveraging analyst reports, industry tools, conferences and supplier visits
  • Develop presentations for ELT, Board of Directors, Investor Relations, Supply Chain and BUs for Planning Cycles, Inflation, Commodity Markets and Productivity
  • Design performance and market dashboards and analytics and lead IT development of through Procurement Analytics and Spend Management system
  • Advance knowledge management and sustainable practices by ensuring documentation and storage of key business processes, sources of intelligence and strategic analysis
  • Enhance, automate and document strategic sourcing category analyses and cost models
  • Evaluate and support hedging, coverage and sourcing options and recommend solutions
  • Create strategic frameworks, templates and tools for strategic sourcing planning
  • Partner with Procurement leadership to develop sourcing strategies and annual plans
  • Assess and optimize contract management and execution, advancing and embedding processes and tools, to surface opportunities and maximize addressable spend
  • Enhance and formalize strategic planning process and calendar integrated with Procurement business activities, investor requirements and financial cycles
  • Develop frameworks to target and influence productivity and innovation initiatives
  • Define, recommend and lead pipeline of strategic Procurement initiatives, providing scope of work, benefits and resource plan
  • Evaluate potential acquisitions, create due diligence analysis and assess synergies
  • Build relationships and enhance communications with Procurement Finance, Procurement, Investor Relations, Brand Management and Supply Chain
  • Coach and develop Procurement Finance team and create impactful interdependencies
  • Engage in broader Finance and enterprise projects

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • BS/BA in Finance, Economics, Marketing or Engineering, MBA required

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Strategy, Finance, Procurement or Supply
  • 1-3 years post MBA experience with consulting firm, CPG industry preferred

  • Strong technical/analytical skills
  • Ability to interact with others in manufacturing, lab, and office environment
  • Good time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Computer skills that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
