The Quality Assuarnce Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Process Control technician associates. Accountable for the day to day management of plant production and quality operations. Ensures full compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements. Provides technical support and service to manufacturing in support of the operations objectives.  Is a key member of the management team at the facility.  Works with Facility Plant Manager, Human Resource Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Operations Managers, Maintenance Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and the other Production Supervisors.


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.


  • Responsible for the daily supervision of the process control technicians, including training and development, assessment and motivation of technicians   Includes conducting annual performance reviews and establishment of measurable objectives for associates.
  • Maintains and communicates information of plant operations at staff meetings.
  • Understands each technician’s job and working with them on reducing products on hold.
  • Implements and maintains quality improvement plans, policies procedures, and programs, which are endorsed by the Operations Manager and Plant Manager.
  • In collaboration with other Supervisors, assesses plans and develops, implements, and evaluates production and operational needs. Assures quality and GMP’s practices are followed.
  • Ensures the safety of all employees. Follows up on all quality and operational issues to resolution.
  • Assists in developing daily, weekly and annual strategic quality and operation plans and initiatives for Packaging and Processing.
  • Responsible for developing and planning for established full-time and seasonal QA positions and scheduling QA employees for the next day work assignments.



  • Minimum of two to three years in a food processing environment or experience with FDA/USDA. Processing and packaging experience is a plus.
  • SQF and HACCP certified is preferred
  • Demonstrated “hands on” management experience
  • Experience working with a diverse group of people


  • Ability to work as part of a large team environment.
  • Good communication, strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a flexible schedule. Be able to work in cold conditions.



  • Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related discipline i.e., chemistry, biology or microbiology
