Job Summary

Design and deliver mostly packaging and some marketing collateral on time for the 5 brands. Candidate will be a core support role to the creative team.

With minimum 3 years of design experience, preferably in CPG, the ideal candidate designs exceptionally well within a brand yet knows how to evolve package design graphics when challenged to do so. Must be a team player, motivated self-starter who independently prioritizes projects and consistently meets deadlines. Projects include packaging refreshes, new category package design, packaging line extensions, packaging optimization, art production, brand toolbox and style guides maintenance, and some collateral work – renderings, sell sheets, coupons, ads, and point of sale.


Essential Day to Day Function

  • Produce packaging designs for new products and line extensions for a various food categories: capable of developing artwork with a small team at any stage from concept ideation to final print
  • Complete packaging updates: updating artwork, routing for internal approvals, releasing artwork to printers, approving proofs and updating internal on-pack and off-pack image libraries
  • Contribute to and support Sr Designers in development of on-pack and off-pack photography or illustrations utilized on package designs: scheduling photo shoots, completing pre-pro documents, coordinating ingredients and formulas with R&D team, attending photoshoots
  • Produce sales support deliverables related to packaging projects

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain product image library: create, maintain, and share images of brand assets, packaging assets, and sales support deliverables
  • Ensure the package designs align to the brief and brand guidelines
  • Attend applicable commercialization meetings and give status updates
  • Update creative team project list weekly
  • Attend press approvals for new item launches as needed



  • Love of package design
  • Passion for being aware of latest design trends and when to apply them
  • Work, eat and dream in Adobe CC: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat
  • Thrives within established processes
  • Excellent upward communication, time management and organization skills
  • Have some print production and prepress experience, some knowledge for printing technologies and methodologies in packaging
  • Efficient and detail-oriented
  • Ability to receive creative direction and design critique professionally
  • Bachelor degree in graphic design or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in package design. Food and beverage packaging is preferred. Agency experience a bonus.
  • Some travel required (3-6 trips year-press approvals and photo shoots)
