The Maintenance Supervisor for Snyder of Berlin is responsible for maintenance supervision, maintenance planning, and storeroom management. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise hourly maintenance team on all shifts, assigning specific jobs to employees.
  • Develop procedures and countermeasures as needed to correct maintenance issues, eliminating incidents from occurring again.
  • Lead, coordinate, and participate in Maintenance Deep Dives, Simple Root Causes, etc. to improve performance in the plant.
  • Write standard job plans, including task descriptions, tools required, etc. as needed
  • Ensure day-to-day administration of plant safety rules/policies, procedures, and training.
  • Participate in budgetary preparation, tracking, and analysis, including the annual capital plan. Review operational issues daily with manager and production staff and support plant with technical expertise.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to develop cost effective solutions to maintenance and operational problems on the line.
  • Support the maintenance of the plant’s waste water pre-treatment system.
  • Plan, schedule, review and close work requests in the EAM system.
  • Develop and communicate Gantt charts for annual shutdowns and other major projects affecting the maintenance team or the plant.
  • Review all work order feedback and updates PMs and Standard Work Orders accordingly.
  • Develop and implement predictive technologies to enhance the Maintenance PM System.
  • Enter EAM system reservations for all planned material requirements.
  • Build kit materials for routine PMs and for annual rebuilds.
  • Build and maintain the EAM database for parts, equipment, and work performed.
  • Estimate material needs for projects, work orders, and PMs
  • Procure, store, inventory, and reorder parts as needed to maintain a world class storeroom.
  • Ensures that Bills of Material (Parts lists) for assets are current and accurate.
  • Participate in all Corporate Maintenance planning and storeroom meetings and Conference Calls.
  • Assist with implementing all Corporate Maintenance and PM Initiatives and Programs.
  • Meet all Audit Expectations and close any gaps per aligned timeline.
  • Develop Planner reference systems including a file of Planned Job Packages for recurring jobs, plus labor and material libraries for each piece of equipment
  • Adheres to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, such as GMP, HACCP, and work and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising a maintenance team.
  • Experience with managing a storeroom is a plus.
  • Experience working in a food or consumer products manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated training skills and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.      
  • Highly organized; able to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of employees.
  • Creative/analytical problem solving skills
  • Hands-on leadership style.
  • Dedication to achievement of results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to react to situations with strong sense of urgency.
