As a member of the Supply Chain, the Customer Supply Management (CSM) Planner will proactively manage a portfolio of skus at the distribution center (DC) level to insure that inventory required to support demand is consistently maintained in a manner that supports divisional service level goals and inventory management guidelines.  This includes working cross functionally with: Customer Service, Supply/Demand Planning, Transportation and Warehousing to insure targeted service levels are achieved within budget guidelines.  The CSM Planner will also actively participate in Fulfillment Team meetings to help improve communication and collaboration within the Supply Chain. 



  • Works within the Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) system to execute Distribution Resource Planning requirements (DRP) to maintain appropriate distribution center inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing working capital and logistics costs. Takes into account: prioritized customers, products and promotions, plant/warehouse capacity, and lead time
  • Recommends and/or changes Oracle inputs (e.g. min order, fixed lot multiplier, fixed days of supply, etc) in order to achieve the appropriate DRP plan
  • Meet targeted service level while achieving cost metrics
  • Proactively identify and minimize risk of excess/obsolescence (SLOB) at the DC level.
  • Actively engage in Supply Chain teams to provide support and feedback regarding deployment issues that affect service and cost
  • Manage resupply orders within established parameters to minimize costs
  • Analyze inventory levels and elevate issues along with recommendations to Management
  • Review daily cut cases report and take corrective measures as needed.
  • Proactively work with all Supply Chain functions including Customer Service, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Transportation, Warehousing and Plant Operations.




  • 3 – 5 years of Supply Chain or Customer Service experience preferably in a planning role
  • Experience working in a fast paced team environment.
  • Experience with advanced planning tools (Oracle experience a plus)
  • BPCS or similar AS/400 system or ERP System (i.e. SAP)
  • Analytical – Able to gather, summarize and utilize large amounts of data to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborative - Able to work with others in a team/cross functional environment.  Seeks/provides information to/from others.
  • Sense of Urgency/Proactive – Works efficiently to prevent problems/issues and understands priorities. Escalates issues unable to resolve with urgency. Follows through on all commitments and deployment concerns.
