Category Leadership Analyst - Kroger

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Category Analyst, will report to the Director of Category Leadership (“DCL”) and will provide on-going support critical to effectively manage Pinnacle’s total portfolio of brands, providing analytical support for Kroger, as well as National support as needed. Utilize multiple data sources including syndicated data (IRI), retailer POS data (Market6), and loyalty data (84.51) to develop and maintain monthly reports, glean deeper category insights, and develop and co-deliver fact-based category presentations to support our customer selling strategies.

Responsibilities

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and maintain weekly/monthly management reports recapping IRI and POS.
  • Develop compelling fact-based presentations for customer and internal audiences.
  • Support shelving, merchandising, assortment and retail pricing (SMART) objectives.
  • Provide the Category and Sales Team with post promotional analysis in support of display, feature and price point compliance, and forecasting to improve future event effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Shopper, Marketing, and Space Management resources to develop insights led, efficient and differentiated “Customer First” solutions at shelf.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Marketing required

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in consumer products industry preferred
  • Detail oriented, organized, and strong analytical thinker
  • Highly motivated, reliable and resourceful professional with practical sales experience
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, multi-task and prioritize under pressure
  • Additional understanding of customer specific systems is a plus
  • Syndicated data experience a plus (IRI/Nielsen)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Expertise in Excel/ databases required

TRAVEL:

Less than 10%
